This is a most fascinating family of plants.

These plants are considered difficult to grow, yet if you are mindful of their life cycle and can simulate it, they can be cultivated without too much trouble.
This plant has been
growing out of
a coquina rock for 10 years
The mixture should contain: 30% fine dune sand, 30% coarse sand,
10% no.4 perlite, 30% organic matter.
Deep but not particularly large
sparingly; strictly avoiding watering during June-July and January-February.
Strong light but not direct sunlight, especially during summer months. They can be protected with 30% shade mesh.
During flowering, in September-October, but sparingly. This is not a must and you can avoid fertilizing at all.
